This page explains what this site knows about you. The short version: very little, and most of it never leaves your device.

The game

The mancala game runs entirely in your browser. There is no server playing the other side, no account to create, and no login. Your game state and settings, like your theme choice and computer difficulty, are saved in localStorage, which is a small storage area in your own browser. That data stays on your device. This site never sees it, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages get read, roughly where traffic comes from, and what kind of device it arrives on. This is aggregate data used to decide which pages are worth improving. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this, which means Google processes some technical data about your visit, such as your browser type and an approximate location. How Google handles that data is described in Google's privacy policy. If you block analytics with a browser extension or your browser's tracking protection, the game and every page still work exactly the same.

What this site doesn't do

No ads, so no ad networks and no ad tracking. No accounts, so no passwords or email lists. No selling of data, because there's nothing to sell. If you email info@mancalaboardgame.com, your address is used to reply and for nothing else.

Changes

If any of this changes, for example if affiliate links are ever added to board-buying pages, this page will be updated to say so plainly. Questions about any of it: info@mancalaboardgame.com.
